As one of the key drivers of modern economic development, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry plays a pivotal role in fostering Beijing's economic growth. This paper examines how the ICT industry contributes to economic expansion by analyzing its underlying mechanisms, using Beijing as a case study. The research highlights that Beijing has long been at the forefront of adopting and promoting emerging technologies in China. Investigating the impact of the ICT industry on economic growth deepens our understanding of its economic contributions while providing a theoretical foundation for policy formulation and industrial optimization. This study employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the current status of the ICT industry in Beijing, tracing its definition and developmental trajectory. By applying production function theory and innovation-driven theory, a regression model is established, analyzing real-world data to verify the positive impact of the ICT industry on Beijing’s economic growth. The empirical findings indicate that the ICT industry has significantly accelerated Beijing’s economic growth and contributed to the optimization of the city's industrial structure. Furthermore, this paper offers several policy recommendations, including strengthening government support, fostering technological innovation within the industry, promoting the integration of ICT with other sectors, and aligning labor market needs with talent development strategies. Finally, the article summarizes the key findings and outlines directions for future research.
