This research investigates the frequency and types of medical negligence in Bangladesh and explores prevention strategies through AI-based applications. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, a survey was distributed among AIUB students, revealing a significant incidence of medical negligence, primarily in the forms of misdiagnosis, surgical errors, and medication errors. Respondents highlighted the need for enhanced training and resources for healthcare professionals. Concerns about AI adoption included cost, technological challenges, and data privacy. The study recommends implementing an AI-based application to improve medical services. The application’s features—symptom assessment, multilingual support, and personalized care—make it highly suitable for addressing these issues. The study concluded that AI-based technologies have the potential to improve healthcare in Bangladesh, especially in distant locations with limited resources, while acknowledging the need to take privacy issues and diagnostic accuracy into account.
