Abstract

This study explores the impact of social media among the students, analyzing the challenges students face and offers solutions to tackle the problem for the betterment of students. The survey was carried on 40 students who are currently enrolled in American International University-AIUB. The results of the survey demonstrated that, on average, more than 50% of the students spend 3 to 5 hours daily on social media and 23.8% of the students spend above 5 hours which points out the fact of overusing social media and 32% of the students stated the fact that they are distracted frequently by social media while studying and 50% of them reacts to the notifications within a few moments which interrupt their studies and divert their focus from the academic tasks. A user friendly personalized digital tool can be significant in these circumstances by providing them managing their tasks efficiently by blocking applications and also with the help of AI implementation the tool can be more useful in increasing the efficiency.
